ELEMENTAL  January 23 – February 21
New paintings by Margot Dedrick
Dedrick uses vibrant oil colors, fresh mark making and careful rendering techniques in a unique aesthetic examination of microscopic life.

CONJURED MEMORIES    March 6 – April 4
New narrative drawings by emerging artist J. M. Culver
J. M. Culver’s first solo exhibition is a series of narrative works that depicts childhood memories integrating universal themes of the human condition; a celebration of life at its darkest and brightest points.

MILL CITY YOUTH    April 17 – May 2
Group show from young local artists
This exhibition features diverse work from current students and recent alumni of Loring Nicollet Alternative School.

ESCAPE FROM CONEY ISLAND    May 15 – June 6
Group exhibition inspired by fun fairs and American popular theater
A diverse set of mixed-media artists take on themes of carnival art, sword swallowers, circus sideshows, tattoo art, stage magicians, puppets, magic lanterns, vaudeville, cabaret, and fantastic phantasmagoria! CALL FOR ART.

EXQUISITE ROBOT    June 19 – July 18
Experimental drawings from Rogue Citizen
The emerging artist collective captures the visceral excitement of new possibilities and the terrifying implications for humankind with their collective passion for drawing, experimental imagery and abstraction, playing an old Surrealist game for a new world.

Twin Cities ZINEFEST July 10
The region’s premiere DIY craft, culture and self-publishing event
Zinefest features an art show, live music, craft demonstrations, guest speakers and panel discussions, and plays host to some of the Midwest’s best self-made talent.

THE NEW ANTIQUARIANS    July 31 – August 29
Mixed-media group exhibition featuring retro-futurist, neo-victorian art and design
Bizarre taxidermy, clockwork toys, sepia-toned photography, scientific illustrations, handcrafted machinery, and cast-off, salvaged materials converge to illustrate an impossible future, or an alternate history of the Industrial Age.

ABOUT FACE     September 11 – October 10
Open submission show focused on the human face
The most recognizable element of our world is the visage of another person.  Artists working in all media are encouraged to employ traditional and experimental means in communicating their unique impressions.
